Thumbs up Semroc ships TAU ZERO

I can't believe how long I've been waiting for this. And now that it's finally here, I'm so excited I can't think straight! Here goes anyway.

December 16, 2008

Knightdale, NC -- Just in time for stuffing your favorite rocketeer's stocking (or your own), Semroc Astronautics Corporation announces its latest release, Jay "Centuri Guy" Goemmer's TAU ZERO.

(Oh, heck. Just go here and order yourself a bunch: )

http://www.semroc.com/Store/scripts...ts.asp?SKU=KN-2

ATTENTION COLLECTORS:

For those of you who are interested in extremely "low number" Tau Zeroes, Semroc is sending me a limited amount of them numbered #35 and under. (Per Semroc's standard procedures, they keep #1-5 of each kit they release.)

If you want to "get in line" for a low numbered TZ, please send an e-mail with the subject line "Tau Zero low numbers" to:

tau (underscore) zero (at) earthlink (dot) net

I haven't received them yet, but once I do, I'll have to make arrangements for shipping them from my address. And since I'm not flush with the cash like Semroc is , I'll have to charge shipping for them. I'm thinking in terms of the USPS Priority Mail flat rate box, so the cost of shipping will be added to the price of the kit.

NOTICE: I probably won't be able to begin shipping these Tau Zeroes until after January 1, 2009. So if you can't wait and just want to get your hands on a Tau Zero that you'd rather build instead of collect, please visit Our Sponsors ASAP:

http://www.semroc.com/Store/scripts...ts.asp?SKU=KN-2

Thanks, everybody for your support, enthusiasm, and interest! EXTRA SPECIAL thanks to Carl, Sheryl, Bruce and the rest of the gang at Semroc for deciding to offer my Tau Zero design as a kit! From my e-mail to you earlier today:

"Wow. I mean, WOW!"

Tim Bennett from Huntingdon, TN wins the official "Johnny on the Spot" award:

Go ahead, Tim. Help yourself to 8 or 9 Tau Zeroes, now available from Semroc for the low, *low* price of $18.50 each!

On second thought, you may want to save a few for other people, since I'm not sure how many Tau Zeroes Sheryl has bagged up just now.

Cheers, and Merry Christmas to everyone,

My, oh my, where HAS the time gone? Wasn't it just the other day that this was announced as "coming soon!"

Congratulations, Jay! And you've been so patient and quiet about the whole thing during the wait!

This is definitely a "must have."

Mark \\.

P. S. Now when is the "SLS" version going to come out?

Congratulations Jay!!!

Absolutely Fantastic news about the release and sales if the Tau Zero. You know that I am good for buying at least two and also will remember to hit the "Tip Jar" as well . Your patience and percistance has finally paid off and as an fellow rocket designer I am very very proud of you Jay.

So Jay, will you be signing any kits once they are built??

Congrats, Jay! Very good news to hear, indeed!

And I know the folks who get one to fly will enjoy it.

(chuckling) I'll start with the numbered ones.

My first "low number" Tau Zero respondent (who shall remain nameless but is still easily identifiable) said:

"Oh, HELL YEAH, I want one. The number isn't a big deal to me, but I'll be pissed if you don't sign the bag."

So there you go.

Cheers,

That's quite poetic. The man is obviously a linguist.

Ah, that's where the name came from.

I'll send the link to Karen Anderson, Poul's widow.

Congratulations, Jay. That's great news. I've been wanting one since they first announced it was coming. I plan to build it, so I'll just order one directly from Semroc and save the low-numbered ones for the collectors.

Congratulations! Now I might have to get one! (I think I must have 5-6 kits in my pile right now... nothing a good, productive holiday break can't solve).
