What time is SpaceX's 3rd Starship launch test on today?

Now 9:25 Eastern.

They are watching the winds at altitude.

T-minus 25 minutes to scrub...

Everything appears to be nominal.

Deorbit burn in about 40 minutes.

Starship broke up during reentry.

Hey, we have to save some milestones for next time...

That was some great footage. I started to comment on all the cool stuff and the stuff to work on next time, but it would have taken several paragraphs.

Indeed. Another huge increment of accomplishments over the prior flight test.

It looks to me like the main thing to work on is attitude control, both for the booster and the ship, before IFT-4.

And those live during-reentry views were just mind-blowing. Interesting to me that that video feed was from the Ship to Starlink, down to SpaceX, out over the internet and then back up to Starlink and down from there to the antenna on my roof and in to my computer....

Amazing morning, but getting up at 4:30 AM doesn't really agree with me and I feel a nap coming on....

Well, a little more progress. I didn't get a chance to watch it live, but looked at most of the recorded file.

They have definitely upped their game with the on-board visuals with this attempt right from the get-go. Great views during boost and some really great shots (as have been commented already) from Starship in orbit and during the re-entry phase.

It will be quite satisfying to eventually see Starship make at least one complete orbit and land back in TX. THAT will be incredible. Booster landing too would not be too shabby to see either! Gosh, that thing is a monster!!

I wonder if they will ignite the raptors a bit earlier for booster landing next time. The grid fins were overwhelmed once the atmosphere got really soupy, just a few seconds before ignition. The aerodynamics at the tail might have also had an affect on some of the raptors not firing, assuming telemetry was correct.

The Starship's attitude control issues could have been ice buildup on the vent/thrusters and then it couldn't keep up with trying to fix the off axis movement with limited pressure of constant venting. Then again, it could have just been a software issue. It will be very interesting to see the reports.

I think it did extremely well overall, and the footage of hot staging was awesome as was the near instant plasma glow that we got to see.
