Well, it finally happened . . . I was BANNED PERMANENTLY from TRF for, allegedly, "OFFENDING OTHERS" . . . YES, you read that RIGHT !

So, YORF is, now, my new HOME !

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

I am, of course, unable to let my friends on TRF know what happened and that I have moved to YORF. Many of them might think i just "disappeared", since I don't think they are on YORF.

If anyone goes to TRF, could you please post up messages in the Scale, Glider, and Competition sections for me ?

The only 2 things that I liked on TRF was :

(1) It was busier, with more "traffic" in the areas I frequented.

(2) The forum allowed me to upload files and imbed full-size images into posts and, recently, they increased the ability to do that with 25 images, per post ( 2mb each limit ).

Also, most of my international contacts were made through TRF, which is an inconvenience.

I find it extremely aggravating that TRF's software automatically converts the filename of anything up loaded to a nonsense hash. So if I post an image named, "SolarYellowRocket_001.jpg," everyone who downloads it will get a file that appears to have been named by someone's cat dancing on the keyboard for a few minutes. Especially annoying when trying to download multiple files of scale data, as Dave posts. Even more annoying when, say, a PDF has the filename truncated on the thumbnail display, so you can't even rename the hash back to what the file was originally named.

I think there are plenty of people aware of the YORF website, and of the problems and bans on TRF, and of the migration of hobbyists from TRF to YORF. I'll bet they come on over here and look for ya.....
