Default My steak sandwich and drink.

So yesterday I got my sandwich and drink.
Both items went up in price by almost two dollars.
I guess this is the price of inflation.
It started.

Where have you been? Everything has gone up and up and up Since January 2021.
and Premium items like a Steak Sandwich, Beer, Juice Drinks, Ice Cream & Candies have gone up more than staple items. I cannot say what I think about this without it becoming political, I have no idea what there is to be proud of ?

It started two years ago.
I'm glad I have gotten annual raises to mostly keep up with this nonsense.

Wait until you need to buy new tires. You'll forget all about the price of your sandwich when you get hit with that bill.

Thankfully as a job perk I get to buy up to 12 tires per year at COST !
Normally a set of Corvette tires is about $1500 retail. For me, about 500.

OK let's see: inflation for 2019 1.81 % down from 2018.
2020 3,87% up .2.6% from 2019 (Covid).
Inflation 2021 4.70 % up 2.1%
Inflation first 3/4 of 2022: 9.1 % up 4.40% THAT SHOULD MAKE YOU PROUD!

Just wait until you start buying #2 heating oil this winter. In Rhode Island, it was $4.92 a gallon AT THE END OF JUNE. Heating with natural gas? Better stock up on extra sweaters a la Jimmy Carter's advice. We'll see what the Christmas buying season will be like after Americans get their first heating bill this season

I'm retired so my pension is still on 2020-21 pay rates. No pay raise available there. Plus our IRA and other savings have lost about 12% so far this year. Not fun.

My wife’s car needs tires in a month or two. It’s gonna be ugly, they’re 20”. I was figuring about a $1000, but that may be low.

And steak sandwiches at a restaurant? No more. Only cooking steaks at home. And most burgers at places we dine are not that great. Again, my grill is where they get cooked, assuming we are not on vacation.
