![]() Does the Nike Ram use the same NC as the Quest Falcon/Eagle? How about the body tube thickness? Just wondering what it would take to clone one. (Asking for a friend.) I know it's been brought up before, but I'd have to actually put effort into looking.

Tim- The Nike RAM used the standard Centuri ST-13 tubing and the standard PNC-132 nosecone. Both are in the 1972 and onward catalogs if you want to get the full specs. Motor mount would be just a bit of challenge (kind of a long fiber 'sleeve' over 29mm motor tube) to fit that #13 tubing. Earl

I'd probably build it with a standard 24mm mount. I could easily build up a sleeve for a 29mm motor tube, but I'd probably never fly it on anything more than a C. It wouldn't be worth fooling with adapting down to 24mm or 18mm for every flight. It would be more of a resto-mod type build with a modern 5.0-5.2 Coyote/ Mopar Hemi (24mm) or LS/LT (18mm), instead of the old big block 440/426/427sohc, etc. (29mm). ![]()

![]() How close is the Quest Falcon/Eagle nose cone to the Nike Ram's? It looks very close without seeing them beside each other.

I don’t have any experience with the Quest nose cone in question so I can’t really give a qualified answer myself. Maybe some else here does. Earl

The Ram and the 1340 family used the Semroc equivalent BC-1327. It has a 2.7" length to the shoulder, so I will go dig out a Falcon/Eagle kit and see how it compares to my Semroc Space Shuttle's profile.

I had some of those balsa Semroc equivalents and as I recall they are pretty close n profile to the original Centuri plastic cone. Earl
