Montana USED to be a state I wanted to visit in the Summer just due to no daytime speed limits on their freeways. Since that went away, I have zero interest.

Yep,

Was thinking of something else. Friend has a place near Yuma, another in Bouse/Parker area.

Thank you for the correction!

Although Arizona has speed limits, you owe it to yourself to take the Vette to Arizona's State Route 96 & 97. 96 leads to Bagdad, AZ from Kirkland.

I found this road because of an accident on Hwy 93 driving towards Las Vegas from Phoenix. Major pileup on 93. A trooper was going car to car and telling everyone it would be a long time before the road was cleared.

Happened to have an atlas in car at the time (2014). I asked him if the route would take me past the accident. His answer was it would, then he made a remark, "You're going to like that road, but be careful, lots of motorcycles and other drivers over driving their cars".

By then I was curious. So, I turned around and headed towards it. Was in a 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet. Heading to Seattle, WA to ship it home to Alaska. Was in Phoenix visiting my son.

That road has more twists and turns on rolling hills than should be allowed. I saw exactly what he meant, motorcycles going super fast, and total P.O.S. vehicles trying to maintain their lane. Some bike clubs travel it in group rides pretty close to the speed limit. Caution is advised.

Most corners have speed limits of 35mph, but the road is in perfect condition. You mess up and huge 30ft high boulders line the edge, no shoulder. It is a blast to drive in a sports car.

Almost expect a highway bandit behind some of the curves.

Pretty sure the "reasonable and prudent" speed limits on Montana freeways ended a little after that. There were corporate road trips there after that date where triple-digit speed testing occurred on roads legally.

I'm in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, where my friend Scott lives.
There are Hot Springs here, no interest.

So far I've done Roswell, GC North Rim, Nuke Museum and Vegas.
I couldn't find a room for under $200.00. in Vegas.
So I left town and ended up in So Cal.

mbauer-
What is your "Personal Stunt Plane" with a "bubble canopy" ?
Some sort of Extra, Edge, or other "Red Bull Air Race" type aircraft ?
Some sort of Pitts Biplane ?

I fly R/C aerobatic/pattern/jet aircraft.
I did a bunch of flying in full-scale Piper Cherokees and Cessna 172/182 type aircraft about 10 years back with a buddy that is a licensed pilot. Got plenty of full-scale flight time, but never got the interest to get a license as it was actually quite boring. To keep my interest I would have to be in a Pitts, Ultimate, Extra, or Edge type aircraft. I have another buddy that has a full-scale Pitts S1, but that only has one seat. If it had 2 seats I would have gladly paid him to get some "stick time" in that. He is currently looking into purchasing a Pitts S2S or an Ultimate 10-300 after he sells his Pitts S1. I'm looking forward to seat/stick time in those.
I have found full-scale flying much easier than R/C. No control "reversion" when the aircraft is facing you.
Some of the WORST student "pilots" I have taught in R/C are full-scale pilots. They start off thinking they know everything and they supposedly can "learn" on a scale F4U Corsair or some other ridiculous airframe for "training". When they figure out what an "awful" choice they made for a "trainer" they often lose interest. They tend to not listen and don't deal with "control reversion" well at all when the aircraft is coming at them. I'd much rather "train" an 8 year old kid with ZERO flight experience.
Trying to "learn" R/C flight in a Corsair or P-51 makes little more sense than trying to "train" someone with my 1/10 Scale F-4 Phantom or Phoenix 7 Pattern plane that cruises at 125+ mph.

On my way home after an exhaustive trip.

Disappointing.

I think I'll stay in New England.

That trip would have been much more enjoyable in spring or autumn. Much too hot in the summer.
