.......and Pearl Lager! Don't forget Pearl Lager!

"What do you get when you take the "P" out of Pearl?.....an empty can.

+1 to what Jeffy said above about Pearl Lager.
Bottom of the Barrel second-rate canned swamp-swill brewed in a urinal.

Other beers in that group:
Goebel
Blatz
Weidemann
Drewrys
Heilemans Old Style
Carling Black Label
Buckhorn
Olympia
Keystone

I think the above "beers" use URINE as their base instead of water.
Buckhorn is the WORST. Has a "urine-like" aroma that has been spiked with ChunX of Ear Wax and burning hair.
Insta-Retch Powr-Peukin' is guaranteed.

I was always amazed that Goebel and Stroh's were held in such high regard. I thought they were awful. Wiedemann is like mother's milk. Blatz was okay in a pinch. Two of my buddies were at a local tavern pining for the good old days and asked the waitress if they had any Wiedemann in the cooler. She said no, but they had some 1982 Old Style. They had her bring some out. Apparently it didn't age well. Olympia just recently ceased production.

Earl

"The Vixen" likes sardines, but only if they're King Oscar 2-layer (the tiny ones) and in olive oil. I'm not a fan of sardines--mainly after eating terrible ones in the Navy.

....but canned anchovies? YUM! Gotta have them on pizza! It's also a nearly surefire way to pollute a pizza and have the whole pie for yourself!

Stroh's is absolute sewer-water.

GH
The restaurant in question is long gone, so I'll never be able to test this hypothesis.
But, back in my college days in Boulder, Colorado, there was a restaurant that made the most fantastic six egg omelets. Served them all day long - with a huge pile of hash browns and well buttered toast. Oh, and the price was college student friendly (i.e. cheap).
I've spent the last 45 years trying to find a place that made an omelet that was anywhere near as good, regardless of price.
If you'd ever tried one, I'd bet good money you'd be over your dislike of eggs.

GH,

I completely disagree with all your food dislikes.

But as soon as restaurants open up here again we really need to do lunch.

I'm happy to go anywhere you like.

Hoping it's soon,

Steve

Steve-
Thai Star in Warren st 12/Ryan has great Thai Food, but I'm only down there about once every two months.
I work from home due to the pandemic and actually go to Milford more often than Warren.
Would like to meet up for lunch sometime though as well.
Wd have been told that to expect to consider working from home is the new "normal" and nothing will change from that until at least Mid July.
