...AND I'm going to build a Tau Zero with it... Quote:
I've got to go back and review the "Peak Of Flight" article to work this up, but the idea is you create a modified motor file for your selected motor, and adjust the settings to where the motor mass drops to zero (or as near to zero as it will allow...) at deployment. The issue in question was describing special staging conditions, where you had parallel-staged motors (strap-on boosters, I think...) dropping off while the core motor was still burning. It's been a while since I read that article, so I'm not certain if I'm remembering it right.

Design: Mini Krypton
This is not a new design, however it is my downscale version of one of my favorite Launch Pad kits. No scale nut here, I just gave this one the old carpenter good-eye . Close enough.
After printing and building a few design I have decided to try and make the Rocksim patterns more user friendly. By this I mean fin pattern printing on this design has a step in it designed to be cut off and not go TTW. I dislike cutting fin notches in tubes. I hoped you'd like it... Sorry to hear about the Proto-Prometheus and it's loss. (Proto-Prometheus... There's a new design in there, somewhere...) Nice thing about our small models, you loose one, it's just an excuse to build another one!

New Design: Proto-Metric
Here is a new design with a aft ring tail that seen to fly quite well. Its a park flier as well since it uses a 13mm motor mount with max altitude of a little over 300' on an A10T-3.
Enjoy and Thanks Again, JP James Pierson NAR# 77907 |

Thanks Don for the great idea, a spinning ring tail, that would be COOL! I will put it on my Rocksim to do list. I wonder if the spinning action would help out any stability problems. Thinking of how a bullet spins to keep a more stable and straight trajectory?? James Pierson NAR# 77907 |

*I'll* show you Proto-Metric

RockSim 8: Changing metric to English units When I export a 2D image from RockSim 8 (regardless of the version, but all the way to Release 16), all of the measurements are in millimeters, even though they otherwise display in inches. (See the attached file.) Can I correct this using the "RocksimSettings" file in either the local or base C directory? (mock suspicion) Or is this all a secret plot by some (grasping for a convenient nationality) Canadian secret agents? --Look guys, I love your musical groups Rush and Saga, and Robert J. Sawyer can spin a pretty good yarn... but could I *please* have my "native" units back? Cheers,
