Default New Estes Ad

I received my Jan/Feb 2021 issue of Sport Rocketry Magazine today.

Inside the front cover was a new ad from Estes featuring the Astrocam and the Der Big Red Max kit.

The Astrocam product number in this ad is different than the already released Astrocam launch set. Perhaps this is a 'stand-alone' Astrocam rocket/camera only.

I expect this will be explained during the virtual NARCON Manufacturers' Forum at the end of this month.

You are correct Bob, that is the Astrocam rocket by itself. #7308. MSRP is $49.99. I'm sure it will be cheaper at places like AC Supply. The way Estes introduces kits now, it should be available in the first quarter of 2021. All info from my local hobby shop.

The Estes website now shows the Der Big Red Max as "coming soon".

I sense an AC SUPPLY credit card charge well in excess of $100 following shortly thereafter.
At the very least I’ll order one Saturn V Skylab, one Saturn 1B, and two of the Der Big Red Max kits. (I still have a few Vs and 1Bs, but gotta have the new ones ...)

For those that say ordering every time a new kit comes out, is an illness, I would now say “True, but it’s nothing compared to Covid ...”

Cool

The new Estes PSII Der Big Red Max # 9721 is listed on the ac supply website as Coming Soon, due in late January. It also says they will be taking orders soon.
