When we were kids, Mom would go to "card parties" at church/school. She'd always bring home a bag full of promo stuff for us and I accumulated several small pocket notebooks that I carried with me. One had my beer cans. One had stamp info. One had rocket stuff. Not much has changed, but these days I tend to buy my own notebooks. Kind of surprised at how many survived my youth.

I am fortunate that my parents kept much of my stuff, but not launches, which were rare. I have three rockets built from a designers special in the late 70s. In my current log from when I BARed in 1989, they are 'Green', ' Blue', and 'Yellow Bird'. (This is why my kids name our pets). I found a list I wrote as a kid of the rockts built up to then, and the orginal names for them were in the list, 'Sprint 1200' , 'Blimp' and 'Eagle II' respectively. I guess I was more creative then. |
