As to the Thermal Hawk glider...

It is a pretty decent glider.
It has a weakness. The boom just aft of the trailing edge of the wing will break at that location.

That's how I lost my Thermal Hawk at NARAM-39.

I like the Iron Man resemblance to the Centuri Orion. If I ever get a chance at one at the auctions for an Iron Man at a decent price I would try to pick that one up.

I built the Standard Arm and Ironman back in the 1990's (I believe) shortly after becoming a BAR. I still have both. My building skills weren't that great back then (and probably not much better today). What I liked about the kits were the interchangeable motor mounts (24mm, 18mm, and 18mm with FX engines), baffle, the c-rail/launch lug, and nylon parachute. I seem to recall that the slots for the fins on the plastic fin can were not quite large enough and some sanding was required to get the fins to fit in. I have another Ironman in my stash and a Trail Blazer to build some day.

The foil wraps on my Ironman are starting to come off. What suggestions are there for gluing them back on?

On my "To do" list is a history of MRC rocketry.

Perhaps I need to get started on it.

I like the Thermal Hawk. Still have two or three in the package. I did have a problem on a couple of flights where the pod would briefly get out of alignment and the exhaust would burn a hole through the wing.
