Any semi-port burner will have a better liftoff kick than the C6-3, regardless of the reduced-power BP formulation over the last 20 years.

Estes customer service told me June 2020 a couple weeks back, but with the caveat that the coronavirus stuff might push it back. Also, there’s B8 listed in Certificates of Compliance on the Estes site as well. Didn’t ask about that one as it’s not listed anywhere, yet. Cheers, Jon

If they bring back the B8-0, I'll stockpile a boatload of them.
Would like to see the B6-0 and C6-0 completely DUMPED in favor of the B8-0 and C5-0.

Here are the thrust curves for C6, C5, and B8, from the NAR website. I could use a B8. (That has a familiar ring to it ...)

Those are the curves from the 1990's. I've been wondering if there will be an updated test or if the same ones will stay on the NAR site.

I would think that since they were OOP long enough to lose their certification, they would have to be retested by S&T.
I have a few old B8-5s. They make a light model get up and go. A booster version would be great for Boosted Bertha (as would a C5-0) and I’d really like to see ‘em. The C5-3 can, at the moment, be well replaced by a Q-Jet C12-4 in models it would be a good match for (original size Fat Boy, RTF 1/200 Saturn V, the just-released MAV to name three).

I wouldn't be surprised if the C5 re-release was in some part due to the Q-Jet C12. That and a couple dozen of us on YORF begging for them.

Just a couple of dozen people wanting some of these old motors? Personally, I really wonder what Estes' production numbers for the various motor types are. Judging form looking at the date codes on their motors over the years, the most commonly produced are the 1/2A3-2T, A3-4T, A8-3, B4-4, B6-4, and C6-5. Booster motors seem to have lowest production numbers of any Estes motor with the production of the shortest and the longest delays somewhere in between. OTOH, the RTF 1:200 Saturn V and some other heavyweight/high drag kits really need a motor with a higher initial thrust than the C6-3.
