A great way to test trim the Manta is to shoot it up with a rubber band on a stick like the version we sale of it. Only pull back a little on the rubber band since if you pull to much it will simply do a loop right into the ground. You could of course simply add a piece of tape to one side of the wing to get the model to turn into the heavier wing. It doesn't take much.

John, thank you for posting this information! I've copied it for reference. Also, where on the Estes website is the Manta II glider listed by itself? All I've been able to find is a listing for the entire Manta II Launch Set (see: http://www.estesrockets.com/001425-manta-ii-launch-set )--it says "Glider included but also available separately," and it's even listed (as a stand-alone item) in the citations when I enter "Manta II glider" on the Estes website's search line, but no page for the glider itself seems to exist. It would be a good glider to list (as a rubber band catapult-launched glider) in the foam gliders & airplanes section of the Estes website, due to its simplicity and low cost. Plus, speaking of Estes gliders:

The new Estes Space Shuttle lifting body boost-glider (see: http://www.estesrockets.com/007246-estes-shuttle ) looks very interesting (one of Grumman's straight-winged [low crossrange] orbiter shuttle designs used a similar boosters & external tank arrangement). I would not be surprised if this kit's design was inspired by KSP (Kerbal Space Program)... :-)

It used to be sold as a rubber band launch glider. It would appear it has been discontinued.

I was afraid that that might be the case (the entire Manta II kit also seems to be unavailable as a "stand-alone kit," only being available in the Launch Set [perhaps it always was only available that way?--I can't remember]), but I thank you for letting me know.
