I am now at the Hampton Inn in Pueblo. Not a bad drive from Gallup. Drove through a brief hail storm on the way.

It is windy outside.

Safe arrival is the main thing.

Flying and socializing I know is the main course of action now, but if you attendees can post a photo or two when you can for us 'home bound' folks, it'd be much appreciated.

Good flyin'!

A stomach bug on Sunday night scuttled my plans to go to NSL. Two days of dr. appointments and tests meant I had to finish prior commitments and not get other preparations done. Wouldn't have gotten on the road until Saturday morning.

Considered getting a Priceline special out Saturday foregoing actually flying rockets, but figured I should just let my stomach settle and do better preparation for NARAM in July.

Gee, Roy, sorry to hear that.

I am now ensconced in my room at the MicroTel - about 13 miles from the field. Have been out to the field and left my canopy, tables and chair out there. Also chatted with John Boren and another SCORE member some. There's still a lot of paddling going on beneath the surface

Now to partially fill out some flight cards and get some sleep.

The only picture I have so far is that of my friend and rommate Marc McReynolds with his scale ARC Athena model (And it does stage).

Roy,

Sorry to hear you won't be attending the NSL.

I hope to see you at NARAM-55.

Take care of yourself.

The KOSMO Kansas delegation, 6 strong, is staying at the Days Inn. We look forward to meeting all of you.

This has been a great event so far. Spending some time with Ed Brown and his lovely wife on Thursday was a special treat. Ed is probably the premier expert on model rocket propulsion. He is a special hero of mine, as you can imagine.

Friday morning, thanks to John Boren and the hospitality of all our friends at Estes, I was able to cross off one of the oldest entries on my Bucket List. I still have not come down. Wow.

Dinner with Vern and Gleda was special as always. Spending some real quality time trying to take in the entire private Estes museum at their home will never be forgotten. Mary Roberts told me that she hoped I realized how many friends I had. I sure do! And I am thankful for knowing and loving every one of them.

Working with John yesterday setting up the old models was fun. I kept thinking of all of you that have always wanted to touch the models in the old catalogs. There were a few surprises, but no disappointments. They are all still "stars" just like they were the first time I saw them in print. There are ten tables for view with a total of about 450 models. Wish you were here! Thanks again to John.

Special thanks to Sheryl for the best Birthday present ever! The only way it could have been better was for her to be here.

Sounds like you're have a great time! Pass a special thanks on to Ed. He answered an old Estes motor case code question the other day that proved interesting.

Default 29mm Estes BP motors

Well, I viewed the new Estes 29mm BP E16 and F15 motors on the field at the NSL. Estes had quite a few new items on display.

Attached are pictures of the F15 and E16 motors.

I am getting ready for the banquet and Estes model viewing in an hour so I will have to wait and post more information later.

BTW: I flew an Estes F15-6 in my AeroTech Arreaux rocket. Nice flight.
