$4,000.00 is WAY too much for this collection on EBAY! My opinion
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...em=140859007819
From the above auction, I would place its value, conservatively, at $800.00 - $1200.00 MAX! Has anyone from here made an offer for the lot? The MRC stuff is uncommon and the lot maybe worth $300.00 - $400.00 max. The Astrocam outfit, $120.00 max. Everything else is COMMON and comes up on ebay regularly. The Centuri Big Shot is opened ... maybe worth $75.00 max. The other items I could just buy over a six month period and spend about $300.00 - $500.00. Why this guy thinks his lot is worth $4,000.00 ... I just don't know!? Not a single K-kit. Some of the items have been opened and built. Folks, I just don't see it... do you? Chair |

It's a hard call, not certain about particulars (ie Are those empty field boxes and if not, what do they contain. At the vary least before making any serious offer, I would require an itemized list.

I can't imagine there would be much response to a listing like this with a price tag like that without an itemized list - and a lot more pictures. As it sits, I don't see four grand.

The first few hours it was posted over the weekend, the Buy It Now price was $2,000. Then, they changed it to $4,000.
I thought the $2000 was a stretch.........$4000, no way. Earl

That's a great attitude to have... How much will you whine when some A-hole ships motors illegally and there's an incident and the Feds change the shipping regs and you can't even get 1/2A motors without hazmat?? Hmmm?? Or we end up having to have ANOTHER pointless lawsuit soaking up money and tieing things up for years to get a kneejerk regulation eliminated?? (shakes head). Later! OL JR

Please tell the last time that happened, JR? You don't strike me as a tattler. I can't possibly remember all the motors I have received with not the first bit of hazmat markings on them. I'd be willing to bet you have, too, hmmm? Folks ship those motors every day, all day long, "illegally." I have yet to hear of some disaster or loss of life that was caused by shipping these motors "illegally." You speed, don't you? You are SUCH the lawbreaker! To jump back on topic, that collection is not worth the asking price, for sure. Someone might still be that nuts, though...there is that convenience factor for a rich uncle...perhaps. Allen |
