Default Moderately Deep Space Transport

I picked up a spare Mini HoJo last week with a Hobby Lobby coupon, and celebrated finally getting Sarah's license plates by cutting the tubes and balsa for the project. It's a close enough to .75 that I'm going with that as the downscale number. I still need to raid the shop for a couple of PNC-20Ns, but other than that, it's all set. It's big enough that I'm just going to go with 18mm power.

Very cool, Bill! I've been thinking about doing this downscale for a few days now (ever since looking up the original HJ nose cone in John Brohm's nose cone reference and realizing that the original HJ nose was used on the Deep Space Transport.

If you don't mind my asking, what are the tube lengths for the downscale? I could do the scale calcs, but if you've already done them and don't mind sharing, it'll save me a step.

Okay, first a disclaimer: Beware of figure quoted by fish named Wallyum. This is the same guy who took algebra three times and never managed to get above a D.

According to my cipherin', the BT-50 main tube is 13.32" long, while the 2 external tank bodies are 5.92".

I love how the Mini HoJo is a $6 rocket with the HL coupon.

And based on the speed with which it's going together, a fast one!

Good use of spare parts too. The BNC-50HJ is available at Semroc. You trade filling the spin nozzle for sealing the balsa. I think Tango Papa did the reduced decals also.

You mean you did not want to go with a 0.7366037735849057 reduction calculation?

Would this be for the BT-50 based model here or for a BT-20 main tube? I will want two sets of them for a BT-50 main tube.

How is the ALPS ink holding up? I also need four more Gemini.
