I have one of these in my kit bin and this finished project is inspiring.

Did you glue the wing-tip pods on after painting the wings?

No, and that worked fine. But I should have painted the tail shroud before gluing it on, and didn't.

Great work on the Xarconian Cruiser!
It's a challenge to build and build well.

There's a build thread on my blog. This link https://richsrockets.wordpress.com/...conian-cruiser/ gives the relevant posts in last-to-first order.

See also Chris Michielssen's build here http://modelrocketbuilding.blogspot...onian%20Cruiser. I referred to that a lot.

Nice work!
I built this one a few years ago--right after the kit was introduced. It looks like we may have used the same color paint. Did you use Rusto "sand" enamel?

"The Vixen" painted the canopy by hand with MM Blue Angel Blue enamel.

It was Rusto (2X) but I'm pretty sure it was called Khaki. 2X Gloss White under, and Navy Blue for the canopy — sprayed, used liquid mask.
