Sure is. Doesn't look like it was the first ever build for that person.
V2 grey primer, white primer. Gonna do the yellow/black roll pattern from '46. Question: gloss or dull coat?

You could create your own semi gloss ... some info I ran across on flattening Future Floor Polish. Future does produce a glossy finish so many modelers will introduce a flattening material or only use it as a pre-decal sealer. If you wish to use flattened Future as a final coat here are a couple of suggested ratios of Tamiya flat base for different effects: ****** 1 part flat base to 3 parts Future = very flat ****** 1 part flat base to 10 parts Future = flat ****** 1 part flat base to 15 parts Future = satin ****** If you get too much of anybody's flat base on the surface of your model you run the risk of making it all go white. No thinning is required just make sure it is well mixed.

Thanks, Lee!
On the V2 front, see the pic below. There are many small paint touch-ups that need to be done, plus some minor chipping of the Rustoleum yellow from the masking tape, an issue I've never had before. I had to go out of town for a few days, so it had almost a week to dry, and it chipped anyway. Decals and coating after touch-ups. Still, I'm calling it a success for my first such attempt.

Remove it after a few hours instead of a few days so it won't be brittle. I've had that happen when leaving the paint on too long. You probably know to peel it back over itself and at a bit of an angle away from the new paint. The tape cuts the paint instead of lifting it. Use good quality vinyl tape such as Tamiya or 3M 471+ Fine Line so that the paint won't build up thick at the tape line. .

Thanks, Z. You're right. I did leave the masking tape (mostly Tamiya) on overnight, which I almost never do. And I definitely have issues with paint build up along lines of separation.
This is going to be a pretty frequent flyer, I believe, so minor imperfections I normally couldn't tolerate may be okay here.

I’ve always been over anxious to peel up tape. Almost to the point of getting paint on fingers from grabbing the tape too early. Since I switched to Tamiya a few years back, I disciplined myself to unmask after a longer wait, but still pull it up after a few hours.
I love Tamiya tape. I’ve never had seepage, and always crisp lines, when the tape is pressed down firmly. I don’t use any burnishing tools unless the surface is textured, like corrugated wraps. Mostly I just run my finger along the tape edge to insure a decent seal. I have not painted a Saturn V yet using a Tamiya tape, at least with white and black paint. My Der Saturn Max was completely painted red, then all the black markings painted after masking using Tamiya tape. Again, I had no issues with leakage, and all lines are crisp. I’m actually looking forward to getting my current Saturn V build done so I can paint it.

Thanks, Lee!
Sometimes the internet can be a wonderful thing. I just learned how to properly fold an American flag to be carried for proper disposal. Anyway, after decals and two coats of furniture polish, and despite a paint job a little on the messy side, I'm calling this one finished. Despite the finishing flaws, I built this thing like a tank so I'm looking forward to many flights with it. The White Sands number 2 V2.
