Default Superbird!

I'm finally starting the Quest Superbird! I have always wanted to build this rocket, and I ordered one last week and its coming in the mail today. It should be constructed by the end of the day and MAYBE painted. I'm looking forward to biological payload with it .

I always liked the looks of the Quest Superbird. The overall lines of that model remind me of the FSI OSO and that was one of my favorite FSI kits.

What "biological payload" are you planning to fly in it?

Well I was thinking of trying t put a small rodent in it but it might be too heavy so Ill probably just send up a few bugs. I only get deliveries from Amazon on Sunday, and i ordered it there because it was on sale last week.

The Super Bird is an excellent model. I really enjoy flying mine.

Yeah... stick with bugs. It's not really considered "good form" to launch vertebrates. Bugs are fine though - and also do not incur the wrath of the ASPCA. Besides, it's not like the mouse (or bug) can tell you about the flight. All you'll learn is that the critter went up and came back down.

For a more interesting payload, fly an altimeter, camera, and/or egg.

Oh, I was only kidding about sending a mouse up, should have been more sarcastic lol. I own a copy of the Handbook of model Rocketry and have read it but thanks for the suggestion.
