Default Not finished, but flyable

I still have to do some work with the decal scan to get the colors close, but I hope to fly it, uh, someday, uh, soon?

That came out very nice. Would be a good choice to fly on Halloween with those colors, plus you'll be scared that you won't get it back !

Ah,yes, the Drifter. Flew my BMS version several weeks ago at my sister-in-law's,who lives in a farmhouse with a nice sized open area. Using a B6-4,it really shot off the pad and went quite high, then sailed to the south, and we thought it went into some woods beyond several houses down the road, but to my pleasant surprise there it laid in the front yard of the last house. Earlier in the day I launched my X-Ray with a B6-4,aiming into the slight breeze that was blowing that day,and after the chute opened it was coming straight back at us;I thought I'd be able to catch it right out of the air,but before it could reach us it hit a power line going up the drive to the next house, and dangled there for several weeks. Just a few days ago my sister-in-law was out mowing and spotted something on the ground in front of her. There was the X-Ray,which had finally blown down. It now is sitting on my kitchen counter, waiting to have new shroud lines attached. Two of the old ones broke, and the rest are tangled beyond untangling, but she'll fly again.

Thanks. It turned out okay, despite me forgetting that I wanted to F&F the joint between the bottom of the body tube and the tail cone. The paint scheme is almost a cliche with me at this point. Off the top of my head I can think of five other rockets that use this color combination. Semroc Micron, FSI Sprint, Semroc Lil Hustler, an SLS Centuri Vector V and the QModeling Rogue. If they're ever together in the same picture it will blight out the sun. (And I have it planned for the Semroc Scout and Sprite. )

No, not really. I like it. And more importantly, so do you. Nice finish. I like the old school way the fins "kick-out" and their general slenderness. A very stylish rocket. Estes had it going on.

So do I, and it gives the added benefit of better visibility, but like I said, I've got a lot of rockets just like it. I need to try to get a family picture.
