With some BT-60, you could also make a Black Brant IV; I think the plans for the CANAROC Black Brant III, IV, and V kits are online. Got one. I picked one up at NARCON several years ago.

The nose cone tip got broken off on the first flight and I've always meant to replace it so I could finish the paint and decals. Never have gotten around to it. Great flier. And an even better value. I think I paid $24 for it.
I also have a BB III ready for paint and an open Estes BBII that I'm planning to finish this winter.

Oh yes, I've seen Tara's kits! I believe he uses slightly larger (Centuri-size) tubing than the old CANAROC kits (which used BT-50 for the Black Brant III [and the Black Brant IV's second stage] and BT-60 for the Black Brant IV's first stage and for the Black Brant V). If memory serves, Taras's Black Brant III kit is the same scale as Semroc's Black Brant III kit (see: http://www.ninfinger.org/rockets/ca...70semroc14.html ) using Centuri-size ST-10 tubing (1.040" O.D.) instead of the 0.976" O.D. BT-50 in the CANAROC and Estes Black Brant III kits.

What ever happened to your rocket plane, it was a mig wasn't it. Remember seeing the onboard video of it flying over the building .

I had most of it with me yesterday, but I forgot the weighted nose cone. Probably would have been a disaster because the winds were pretty gusty. I should have another launch report sometime today if I find time to sit down and organize it.
Eleven flights, NO CATOS!!!
