I just redid the decals in blue.

I still have the black and red available

I liked the MASA article on the 1.8 upscale with a BT-60 BT. I think I'd like to make two: one with blue graphics and one with red. What's the BT size for the tube fins?

If you have a BT-60 main tube, then your tube fins are also BT-60.

I checked Semroc for body tubes and nose cones. The longest BT is about 18" and the upscale length is 23". Do I need to get a coupler and another BT to get the extra inches or is there a different BT I should be looking for.

I wasn't sure about the nose cone either. The BNC-60RL is the right length (8.4") but the shape doesn't look quite the same. Is this right?

Would Semroc know what I would need for the 1.8 upscale?

So if I get the BT-56, I should get some short lengths too. What about the nose cone? I couldn't really tell which nose cone from Semroc is closest to the original. Is there a model number or description I should be looking for?

The Excelsior decals are for BT-60s. Would there be any issues with the BT-56s? (I'm mostly thinking about the decal that wraps around the BT.)

If you email me I can scale the decals to fit a BT-56. If there are more requests I'll post them on my web site.

Also if you email me your address I can send you a bunch of short BT-56's. I have a real big box of short BT-56's!

Any idea for the nose cone that most closely matches the original for the BT-56?

Bob,

Original PNC was 4.6" long.

ST-8 to ST-13 (BT-56) is roughly 1.48X upscale.

4.6" x 1.48 = 6.8" or so.

Take a Semroc BC-1367, round the tip slightly, and only Bill E. (Wallyum) and I will know the difference:

Thanks to everyone! Now I have to get my parts list together and do some ordering!

(I think one in red lettering and another in blue...) I'm going for the 24mm engine mount for D and E engines.
