Counting the message I just posted, it makes 32 designs that have now been added to the list, with as many as 17 more that needs to be reworked. Also remember, I still have some of those hand-drawn sketches that I'm working on, which might bring the total up to nearly 600. Addendum: With so many additional "re-discoveries" being made, I have to withdraw the callout for the Swordfish 1 as the #500 model. At this point in time, I have no idea which model really was the milestone. Let's concentrate on the new milestone target of 600, and see who crosses the line.

To Be Reworked With RockSim 9
Here's a list of the designs that need going over with R9, just in case someone wants to tackle a few:
Lirpa ... I'm getting NAN in the simulations, even with a D12. Emailed TVM and PF with the file. Kitfox ... Now looks and simulates like the prototype. Andromeda SLS CSL Lynne CSL Lightfoot Lollypop (James Pierson) Helixicon Rogue Bear ... The pods now look like they should. Vostakyre ... The simulated strap-on pods look better. Vireo ... The fin tips added some lateral stability the original lacked. Star Sabre Scythe Regulus ... Figured out how to get twin motor pods to work. 1987 Catalog Parts Demo ... Added the missing winglets for the probes to attach to. 741 Parts Catalog Demo Eugene's Axe ... Added some fins and some strings. USS Swinington Cloud Tickler ... Added some trim features. A few of these are already on the list, but need the PODS feature of R9 to complete the design.

Revised Plan -- Kitfox
From the list (below), here's the Kitfox. I think most everyone will remember me describing the first flight of this model, and how I had to add some fin tip winglets to increase the stability. The new version shows how those fins were shaped. The real-world performance seems to match, if not be a little better than, the simulation runs.

Revised Plan -- Vireo
With Estes bringing back the A10-0T, this model makes more sense. Great performance on small power.

OK, y'all look like your having so much fun I decided to join the party!
This is a design I did in the TRF Box of Parts competition and placed 10th in(IIRC)..Whatever, I got a neat prize because of it..It is a 3x18mm cluster design with ring fins and regular fins for added stability..This one HAS been built and flown a number of times..It flies awesome! The name Bio Hazard comes from the ring fins(BT-101's that overlap) that kind of sorta look like the Bio Hazard symbol.. Here is a picture of the built rocket: Now the pertinent stats: Length: 28.375" Diameter: 1.54" Span Diameter: 6.89" Weight: 5.8oz 3xA8-3.......113.24'......DV 27 FPS......48"x1/8" rod 3xB6-4Q....299.'...........DV 23 FPS......48"x1/8" rod 3xC6-3.......535'...........DV 20 FPS.......48"x1/8" rod

Jon,
Nice model. You mentioned having submitted it for a competition on TRF, where you won a prize for it. What sort of rules did they have for that competition? Did you surrender any copyrights to TRF as a pre-requisite, for example?

Revised Plan -- Regulus
Here's one for the record books. This design was first posted on September 23, 2005, but was not pursued beyond a few initial RKT files. I think I used either V7, or an early V8, to work those files up. When you look at the new file, you'll see something that wasn't obvious before. It has to do with the twin motor tubes...
Length: 44.42" Diameter: 1.04" (ST-10) -- Ignore this field on the 2D plan view. Fin Span: 8.52" Weight: 4.66 oz (2) B4-4.......336'......Dv 5 FPS.......48" x 3/16" rod (2) B6-4.......351'......Dv 4 FPS.......48" x 3/16" rod (2) C6-7......1045'......Dv 17 FPS......48" x 3/16" rod This is going to be an interesting build...

Jon, How are the two main tubes joined? Is the BT-55 mounted with rings inside the BT-60? How much of an overlap do you have? Having built one "in the wild" means the simulations should be close enough. You're always welcome to join this party! We never close...

Revised Plan -- Eugene's Axe
Flashback -- June of 2005!
Eugene's on the loose again, and he's comin' out swingin'! Watch yer heads! Plug yer ears! I've always wanted to get back to this design, but only now can I do it a measure of justice. This model really had no lateral stability, and those outer fins were absolutely going to be needed. Think of this design the same way you think of the Gyroc... Length: 29.20" Diameter: 1.04" (ST-10) Fin Span: 11.90" Weight: 2.57 oz Please note: The Dv numbers are very high, so reef the parachutes on all motors! B4-4.......217'......Dv 30 FPS......48" x 3/16" rod B6-4.......222'......Dv 27 FPS......48" x 3/16" rod C6-5Q......518'......Dv 28 FPS......48" x 3/16" rod C6-3.......518'......Dv 30 FPS......48" x 3/16" rod C6-5.......525'......Dv 32 FPS......48" x 3/16" rod Enjoy!
