Ya know, I don't think the Langfords would mind the mild copyright infringement there at all! It'd be nice if one of the other canopies were tilted camera-side also to add the Centuri logo.

Earl

I would have used the Centuri logo if the other chute style had been more visible. There were two chutes of each pattern. The other chutes were a lot more like the Centuri 24" chutes that came with my 1B and V, minus the solid white skirts, of course.

Great photos! I didn't even realize the logos on the canopies until you guys mentioned it. Feels nice to be in the Manned Space Program again....

Awesome mission and awesome photos! Did these (4) canopies not use drogues or are they just not visible?

As I recall there were two drogues fired out of two mortar ports above and on either side of the side hatch.

As for ‘pilot’ chutes for each of the mains, I don’t seem to see any sign of them in these photos, but they may have been released or just not visible.

Yes, two drogues—they were cut loose just before the mains were deployed.

Actually, I meant to say PILOT chutes. Both questions are now answered.

Thank you.
