Default Estes Ranger Build 1955

Here is another kit from Estes, came out in the mid 80s I believe, nothing fancy nice easy build. Nothing to report, KISS principles of building, white glue, fillets followed by 4 coats for Sig Balsa sealer. I took some close up pictures of the fins to show how well the sealer does. Once again, no primer or fillers just Kylon yellow and blue paint.

I have this one, but without a decal. I had the nose cone, so I figured I might as well. Looks great with the decals. I didn't realize they were that big.

When I saw Estes was bringing back the Ranger in the 80's I felt mega-gypped it was not the ASTRON Ranger.

Excellent! I can figure out a combination of white vinyl and the Ranger decal.

It currently sits atop a really cheap build — my Dishonest John. It’s a 99 cent Hobby Lobby clearanced Booster-55, combined with a $1 BT-55 tube.
