Last Days of Work from Home-Rocket activities
Since today was the last day of WFH, I set out yesterday to do two things I hadn’t done before but wanted to do. One was build a kit at lunch, and the other was launch at lunch. I picket up an Estes Starship Octavius from Hobby Lobby, it is a snap together kit. I assembled that at lunch yesterday. I launched it twice today before work on q-jet B4-4s. The delay is a little long but not too bad. It was cold and there was frost on the grass, so it was good it stuck the landing both times.
At lunch the wind had picked up so I took the Quest saucer SPEV out and flew it on a newish C5-3 I had on hand. Nice flight and the ejection went off at two feet. I packed up and was back before 1. So missions accomplished! Last edited by 5x7 : 11-05-2021 at 06:08 PM. |

If the wind is the length of the field, it is great. 10 years ago it was a wide open field but the town allowed a forest to grow in a low spot right in the middle. I am still grateful for it.
