Though it may not really be needed at this point, here is a scan of the decals for the original kit. These have not been cleaned up in any way, just a jpg export from the original TIFF scan I did from a kit a couple years ago. Got scans of the rest of the kit components, if you need them.

Thanks for that, Earl; that's a pretty good scan. Scott has the instruction set on YORP, but he might want to take a look at your decal scan. It might be a bit better than the present one, plus you have a scale in the scan - always helpful!

Something else that would be helpful for this kit is a clear outline scan of the balsa conduit/raceway. I couldn't make that out in the scan on YORP. I still would have gone with the
Styrene conduit anyway, but others might wish to build a more accurate clone, and the current scan set on YORP just doesn't work for my eyes.

Here is a scan of the fin sheet which contains the raceway. It is somewhat difficult to really make out the raceway, but I guess it is the verticle 'cut line' near the location named 'raceway' on the fin sheet, over to the outer edge of the sheet itself. The die crunching on the sheet for the raceway is right in-line with the grain of the balsa, so it makes it a bit more difficult to discern.

Really nice! I am at my PC, where I can actually get a good look at the detail. (As opposed to viewing on a cell phone. Lousy, and also a horrible tool for posting and including pictures.)

I really like the styrene bolt heads, must look for those the next time I venture to Denver and visit HobbyTown. They have excellent supply of Evergreen and Plastruct, so maybe they will have other styrene parts like those from Meng. (We have absolutely no hobby stores in northern Colorado.)

The Styrene raceway I used came from a length of Evergreen Scale Models' #244 1/8" wide half round:

It was placed with a line of Weldwood contact cement. I prefer using contact cement when I'm mating two dissimilar materials like paper and plastic. I chose to use the Styrene strip as it meant one less thing to fill, sand and prep for painting.

If I'm understanding the eRockets listing for the fin sheet, it says that it's 3/32" thick. I was pretty sure the AERO-HI used 1/16" thick balsa, but perhaps I have that detail wrong. Perhaps someone has an original out there that can confirm.

Just checked the vintage kit I have...it is 1/16" sheet stock for the fins and raceway.

Your Aero-Hi looks great.

Much better than the original I built and flew in the 1970s.
I still have it and will have to take a picture and post it someday.

Of the five SKUs in the Mini-Brute line released in 1973 the Aero-Hi had the shortest availability time, only 2 or 3 years.

I'm glad I bought the Aero-Hi.
