Default Biohazard in new Apogee Peak-of-Flight

Hey now, there's a handsome free rocket design by an even handsomer rocket designer in the new Apogee Peak-of-Flight: https://www.apogeerockets.com/educa...wsletter543.pdf. Interactive 3D model is at https://adobe.ly/3bZb9fz. The issue also has a great article by Bernard Cowley on altimeter venting.

Should anyone decide to give a whack at actually building a Biohazard, please note: the parts list incorrectly shows BT70 for the 1 1/4" ring; it should instead be BT80.

Thanks for the article mention and pointer on Bernard’s (BEC here) altimeter venting. Good info!

That guy sure designed an awesome looking rocket!

I just glanced at Bernard's article, and I’m looking forward to going back to read it. I have an FS Mini I received in December, but have only flown rockets once since then, and decided I was going for quantity on flights, to try to use up my huge inventory of Estes motors. May put it up once we emerge from this Winter Wonderland we have here — 4th largest snowstorm in recorded Colorado history. I’ve been in #2 (1982) and #3 (2003). The biggest was in the early 1900s, just a bit before my time.

I thought that was your design, Neil.

I saw that the issue was put out today (and I was trading notes with TVM just yesterday looking for a bio and a picture, so just-in-time) and saw the rocket as well.

Now I need to go read stuff!

Today I ventured past our property line for the first time since the big storm. I saw a post about the latest Sport Rocketry issue being a Builder’s Issue, and had to see if I got mine. And I did! Lots of things to read now.
