Default Custom Sam-X Build

I wanted to do a quick build and speed up my finishing since I have a lot of rockets to build. This is a Custom Sam-X rocket kit built out of the bag. Built in one day, next day brushed on 2 coats of sanding sealer and sanded smooth. I was unable to paint for a day since the weather was not cooperating, but I finally had a good morning and sprayed on a coat of gloss white.

That looks nice! I?ve built a TON these little 2-stagers over the years. Did you really use vintage glue or is only the bottle vintage?

Here's some SAM-Xes The Vixen and I have done over the years. I build them, she hand paints them.

And some more. I don't even attempt to match her skill.

That?s a bunch Jeff! Any particular reason you have built a particularly large number of these?

This is why I moved from California to Tennessee, I can build my rockets in a couple of days, walk out my front door and fly them. The Sam-X flew great on the Estes B6-0 A8-5, though I did loose the rocket for a few seconds after the separation, sorry about the poor cell phone video.

Except for the few that I flew and subsequently lost, they were sold on eBay and to private buyers.
