I am not a picky eater (not meaning I'm fat, either...6'1", 175 pounds...been a string bean all my life).
But for some reason I just can not get past raw celery or radishes (celery is ok cooked in like dressings, soups, that kind of thing. Radishes I do not like in ANY form). Nor can I handle pimento cheese. Otherwise, there are not too many things I've ever eaten that I just plain don't like and/or won't eat. Not saying there aren't any others out there, but of all the things I have eaten, the above three are the only ones on my 'never' list. Earl

1) depends on who makes the kimchi 2) Wrong 3) Wrong (with reservations -- I mean, really, pickled eggs??) 4) WRONG (though there was that one deli on Lexington Ave and 41st Street in NYC that surved me dry, crumbly corned beef. 5) Inclined to agree with you even though I'm a southern boy whose dad LOVED chitlins. And I used to like chicken liver.

I wouldn't feed the disgusting list of mine above to convicts as it would be construed as cruel and unusual punishment. Huffing Jenkem is possibly more palatable.
Onions and Cooked Cabbage of any sort are astronomically DISGUSTING. The foul odor of cooked cabbage induces involuntary RETCHING in anyone NORMAL.

Uh-oh. You summoned the Grandpa story. On the way home from a family vacation in St. Louis in 1977, (mere days before seeing my first rocket launched,) we stopped in at a Dutch Pantry for breakfast. (Dutch Pantry was a chain that we occasionally ate, but never for breakfast.) The visit was notable for the waitress who was working the large party of 10 next to us getting a $.25 tip, and Grandpa ordering a ham quickie. Quiche was not a staple of the Cincinnati area, but I knew what it was because of it being a punch line in the mid-70's. My Dad was sitting next to him and he and I both looked over quickly when he said it. The waitress tried to hide her smile behind her order book so not to embarrass Grandpa. Dad started laughing, one of the hardest I'd ever seen him laugh. (Silver Streak and the St. Therese Orchestra were the two others.) Grandpa laughed along with him. He was that kind of guy.
