While I am more interested in glide recovery, my brother likes the parasites like the shuttles.

One of the things I don't like about them is looks. What I am wondering is, if the dual gliders have wings/fins in the same location, why does the rocket need fins? Wouldn't the glider fins serve the same purpose? During parachute recovery it wouldn't need them anyway...
