Not really. My own complacency cost me extra work! I have to remind myself: "no matter how many times I've built one of these--ALWAYS study the photos and read the directions!"

The booster is now masked off except for the interTANK wrap. Earlier, I did a compatibility test of white primer over Testors Dullcote on a scrap piece of BT and there was no adverse reaction.

Primer in the morning!

Time for a (lot of) Scotch and an IPA. Good night. TBC

That was nothing. When we were building Semroc Saturn 1Bs for the Apollo 7 celebration, we somehow got confused and painted the white tanks black and the black tanks white. It was easy to mask a narrow strip on each white tank and apply black paint, but to cover black around a white strip with all white, we had to "dither" the color boundary with random sanding so that the contrast did not show through the overlaid white paint.

Just do like NASA did on the first flying Saturn Vs, just paint white over the black paint.

Default .............and Voila! (again)

The black parts of the booster of the #2001 SV are now corrected and dull coated.

I sincerely thank the ones that caught the error and brought it to my attention!

That gives all something to aspire to.

Better lock it up or The Vixen may sneak it out and fly it.

Default Never to be Flown !!!!

This is very sad, but I do understand the reasoning.

This is why all my rockets fly in Primer prior to being finished properly.

Of course, this means that I can't paint details prior to installation and makes it harder to get them just right.

Awesome Job.
