What kind of silver paint is that?

Default Almost done!

The booster decals are now on, solvasetted, and dry. "Her Royal Majesty" is almost finished! Just have to clean up the myriad pencil marks and then shoot the dull coat. TBC

Great job on the Saturn!

Love the radio too. Verna still has her mom's, it has a record player; circa 1943 in excellent condition and still works.

Thanks Randy. That's a 1931 Wards Airline radio. It still works and I have a complete set of extra tubes. I turn it it on very seldom though because I'm afraid of burning down the house. It gets VERY hot.

They do indeed get "warm" but it's good to turn them on, on a regular basis. If it's all original, sometimes capacitors that go too long without being used can blow just from being turned on. We have 3 total, and I turn them on until they are good and "warm" usually about 30 minutes per week.

When I was a kid in the early 60's living in B'ham, we could get WLW, WSN, WCKY and KDKA just about any night it wasn't storming. I used to listen the Pirates games all the time.

Great detail work! Ordinarily I hate to see something built knowing it will never be flown but I have to give this one a pass. The wraps from the other kit were justified in this case. Truly excellent work.

Maybe you should enter it at NARAM next year.
