I'm sure there is some lift coming from the body. This will be a Hall Mary flight, all or nothing.

What size motor ?
At that weight it better be some sort of G or at least a high-thrust F.:

It has a cluster of two F23 Econ Jets for the Flight. I figure I'm only going to get one shot at this so there was no sense buying four motors.

I have a few models that I flew once and immediately retired them to display duty after getting them back in one piece. I hope you have a successful flight and have to sweat that decision whether or not to fly it again!

So it is to be either a cool flight or a very cool one. Someone please get video and lots of pictures for those of us who will not be there to see for ourselves.

Default Finished Model

Here are images I took of the model sitting in the judging room. Hopefully I'll remember to take some close up images of it before I fly her since she most likely might not make it through the first flight in one piece.

John,

I think far more positive.

It will be a fantastic flight and will awe the spectators and judges.

I look forward to seeing it fly on Friday.

Fantastic John. A contest winner for sure! Copperheads for the F23 motors?
