Revised Design - Vulture (2005)
This is an early design from before I started using RockSim. It was a TLAR composition, but when I finally built one (for 13mm engines, as this plan shows) it flew great, without any tweaking. The original was designed around 18mm engines, but those produce far too much power for a model this small.
It may even qualify as a "Schoolyard Sounder"... Length: 12.75" Diameter: 0.759" (ST-7) Wing Span: 8.42" Weight: 0.54 oz Notes about the components:
1/2 A3-4T......~242'......Dv ~20 FPS A3-4T..........~530'......Dv ~17 FPS The A10-3T is not recommended due to excessive Dv. The 1/4 A3-3T is usable for tight areas. The altitude is below 90'. Fin cutting patterns are included below. Enjoy!
