Received mine yesterday too. Also, Monday evening, I bought a book at a bookstore at a
nearby mall, A Man On The Moon - The Voyages of the Apollo Astronauts by Andrew Chaikin (685 pages, published 2997). With the Sport Rocketry, LAUNCH and this book, I'm gonna be really tied up on reading and have little time for building and flying ....

Magazine Protectors
I always try to put my magazines in sheet protectors to keep them like new for future reading when I've forgotten what was in them the first time I read them.
Anyway, after the second issue, they wouldn't fit in the sheet protectors any more. I went through several different manufacturers with the same result. The magazine had a tendancy to bend. Well, today I found some that store them perfectly and thought I'd share the info in case someone else is like me and having trouble finding suitable protection.... From Office Depot, clear expandable, heavy weight sheet protectors. 100 sheet capacity, letter size. UPC 78910 58221 Comes in a package of 25 sheets for 6.99 plus tax.

I get my protectors from a local comic book store. They have magazine sized bags and acid-free backer boards to keep the magazines from curling. They also have smaller sizes that work for rocket catalogs, too.
I wish I had access to these back in the 60's. Some of my old magazines and catalog are very worn. |
