Possible SLS KIt?
I would like to propose as a future SLS kit the Estes design called the Hi-G Payloader. It is BT-30 based and they recommended Series II motors for payloads (that would be the B14). I attempted to attach a jpg, but couldn't get it reduced to meet the attachment limit.
I am thinking BT225 sized, although I don't know how that would effect the fin layout for laser cutting. Personal note: I built one of these in high school. I have a picture somewhere. Named it after one of my classmates: Cari-Hi. Hilliard HS Class of 69. Jeez, I was such a nerd. Am... Chas

For an LT-225 3.06X upscale (~36+" long) , that same measurement is 4.75". I'm guessing you'd need a compound fin, like on the Semroc Hustler. Here's a "quick and dirty" workup on the LT-175 version. My Hero! (Russian accent) "Is tricky Design of Month, number 44:" I had run across a photocopy of the plan, but had not had the chance to research it. I have several of the old design books from Estes, including one they gave at NARAM-11. Jay saved me from having to go through them to find the info he provided. Darn, guess I'll spend the time building for NARAM. Yes, it is 3FNC, but it does have a payload section <g>. Chas

Especially the former with a B14-5. "Stuck it in a tree on a B14. Sorry kid, but we will sell you a replacement. And more B14s..." Chas
