Default Does Estes have new Engine Packages???

Estes has a new advertisement in Sport Rocketry, and it seems that engine packaging has changed.

Just yesterday I told a friend Estes engines seem to be packed differently every year. Guess it’s true. I liked the old Pink packaging from the 1970s,.,.,.,

Well....since that is a photo of them, I would say Yes. Why is this a question?

I liked the 1970s prices.

While we’re on the subject of engines (I am certain this has been asked before), why does Estes put 2 D-12 engines in a pack but 3 E-12 engines?

Seems odd.

They should go back to the 70's blue 'diamond' paks. Easier to stack/store.
Better yet, go to the Centuri-style BOXES.

Nah, bring back the round tubes. Then sell the nose cones that fit the tubes!

Price point psychology.

If Estes had elected to continue with three D12 motors in a package the SRP would have been $20 or more. That probably would have led to a drop in D12 motor purchases.

The E12 motors were already sold with an SRP over $20 for three which would not affect sales of those motors.

I saw some of those in a LHS recently. Not as flashy as the old packaging, but the face cards can now be collected!

Major upgrade, IMO. I have received a lot of the current packages where the plastic is coming unstuck from the cardboard and spilling contents, and I have to sort stuff out and tape them back together. Would be a yuuuge PITA for a retailer.
