Surprised this doesn’t have TTW fins - cutting tube slots is a fairly basic skill and this is a step above a beginner level kit - including tabs on the fins certainly wouldn’t have pushed the cost up more than a very small amount. Then again, looking at the pix of the fins, it would’ve meant a bigger piece of basswood so I guess every penny counts. Nice looking - clean and simple.

It doesn't need TTW fins. Yes, cutting tube slots is a basic skill, but so is knowing the limits of your materials and using that knowledge to build lightweight rockets. I've flown models with surface mounted balsa fins using 80 N-s F motors and they hold up. You just need to build it right.
