D-Oh! Thanks, Jim. Good to chat with you at NERRF.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I had this one in the bag a long time before the idea of Homer hit me. The key was the paper mouth parts. I cut them out of regular paper and coated them with CA after attaching them to the nose cone with white glue. The nose is a toothpick with the end sanded round and the eyes and ears are just scrap balsa sanded round.

I should do the whole family, but I'd need a bigger cone for Marge's hair

Now I have to build a Spaceman just to copt the paint scheme.
Never thought I could possibly want one of those until I saw it as Homer.

I was reading this thread and thinking "wow, I'd also like to make a duplicate of the Astron Simpson" when a package from Semroc arrived in the mail. Instead of one of the kits we ordered, there's an Astron Spaceman kit sitting on top! Someone at Semroc must have read my mind!

If you, however, got a Space Shuttle kit from Semroc when you were expecting an Astron Spaceman, I apologize. :-)

Its not too often I open a thread that brings such a big grin - thanks Drew! (As Semroc is wondering why there is a sudden deluge of orders for their xKit...)
