Saturn V injection molded parts from 2001 and 2157 kits
I need a couple of sets of the injection molded detail parts that were part of the #2001 and #2157 Estes Saturn V kits. They were just extra parts in the 2157 kits. I am restoring a couple of #2001 Saturn Vs and they are missing some of those parts, including some of the more difficult to recreate shapes. I don't need the F1 nozzles, just the white molded detail parts tree.
If you have a set or two you are willing to sell, please pm with what you want for them. Thanks.

Are you talking about the parts for the capsule, LES tower and CSM quad nozzles? Estes is selling those on their website:https://estesrockets.com/product/03...s-set-saturn-v/
Laters.

No. The 2001 kit had embossed card stock wraps and a set of injection molded parts for the details on the wraps (antennae, ulage motors, and such). The 2157 kit had those details included in the vacuform wraps, but still had the injection molded detail parts bagged with the F1 nozzle sets. The 2157 kit didn't use them in its construction since that detail was now part of the plastic wraps. I am looking for a couple of those parts sets, NOT the F1 nozzles or Apollo capsule and LES.

Ah, I see. I opened my box of a 2157 kit to see if I had those extra parts to give to you. It only had the nozzle and tower/capsule parts. Also had injection molded instead of vacu-formed fins. Must have been a later issue. Oh well.

They probably have the parts on Shapeways. I know they have most of them for larger scales. Unfortunately, it would be an expensive route to take.
It's a pain, but you could make them out of balsa or other wood stock. My son and I did a Centuri Orion clone like that, which led to Carl's decision to release his SEMROC Orion kit.

I believe my 1999 edition has these extra parts.
I would be happy to send them for the price of a small priority flate rate box. DM me your address. I'll look for the parts and photograph them to be sure they are what you need. --Stefan

Interesting. Thanks for looking. I think the 1999 30th Anniversary issue had the extra parts, along with copies of the original Centuri vacuum wraps.

I haven't received a DM!
I think I can make a cardboard mailer to send this for less than priority.
