Bo-Mar Phoenix fin pattern?
Hello All,
Does anyone here have a fin pattern (or fin dimensions) for the Bo-Mar Development Company's Phoenix kit (see: http://www.ninfinger.org/rockets/ca...9/69bomar8.html and http://www.ninfinger.org/rockets/ca...9/69bomarb.html )? The balsa fins were either rectangular or had a *very* slight amount of leading-edge sweepback, and they were likely 3/32" thick. A clone could use a 17.75" length of Semroc #7 (0.759" diameter) tubing and a Semroc BC-733 nose cone (see: http://www.semroc.com/Store/Scripts...sp?idproduct=36 ). Also, a scaled-down BT-5 or #5 size version of the Bo-Mar Phoenix could use 12.75" of either BT-5 or #5 tubing and a Semroc BC-524 nose cone (see: http://www.semroc.com/Store/Scripts...sp?idproduct=25 ), along with proportionally-scaled 1/16" thick fins. In addition, Sandman has checkerboard decals (similar to those in the original kit) that could potentially be scaled to fit either version. The original Bo-Mar Phoenix used "1/2A" through "C" motors and came with both a parachute and a streamer, to cater to varying field sizes and wind conditions, and this could also be done with clones of it. (The new Estes 6" parachute might fit in the down-scaled BT-5/#5 version.) Also, the Aerotech D3 motor would probably provide high yet trackable and recoverable flights in the full-size version. Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Also, Sandman--wearing his "Roachwerks hat"--could make exact duplicates (in hardwood, like the originals) of the Phoenix's 3.25" long ogive nose cone, which was also used in other Bo-Mar Development Company "Mini Arsenal" model rocket kits.
