I got an email from Boyce that my Pershing stuff has shipped via USPS. Great. Maybe I’ll see it by August.

ALL kits should include TUBES without exception.

Most definitely.

Just as a service to one’s customers, if nothing else. If you force people to go to TWO different places just to get all the needed items for the kits YOU sell, a good number of people are gonna say...”ummm...nah, I’ll just order some other kit.”

Kinda like buying candles at one place and having to go to another place to get the wicks.

I think they’d probably see a 15% or more increase in sales if they offered ‘full’ kits instead of short kits.

Supposed "kits" that don't include tubes, decals, and wood are NOT kits and should not be marketed as such.
They are nothing more than PARTS PAKS.
I don't want to have to piece-meal a kit together with two or more orders.

To be fair, it's pretty clear on the Boyce website what is NOT included in the kits.
You may be right about being able to increase their sales if they were complete kits, but lots of serious builders have a large number of the more common body tubes about and wouldn't need to order anything extra.

However, AFAIK BT-101 is not a particularly common tube to have lying around the workshop. Most people building rockets in that size today would probably use the LOC 3.90 heavy wall tubing instead. I actually have plenty of tubing on hand from BT-4 (10.5mm motor tubing) al the way to BT-60 on hand for scratch projects, but the not larger diameters. I tend to buy those as needed for specific projects.

Not to mention BT-101 is not offered in the Estes catalog either.
I don't know if it is available from them or eRockets.

Gee, if only one could quickly google "erockets" and "BT-101", and instantly find a link like this:

http://www.erockets.biz/bt-101/

Sorry for the interruption, now resume the whine-fest about a REALLY neat kit.

Or go on eBay and become the top bidder on the original Estes Pershing the next time one is listed. And do not whine about the cost.

Or, effing create your own 3D files, print them, and kit it including all the tubes, parts, chutes, shock cords, decals, and so on. Heck, include the glue and paint and sandpaper and model knife too.
