Yes I have compared the tube to both, full tubes of engines and empty tubes. now I found something else very cool: Cenruri Engines that were shipped in a red tube. I just noticed: the Centuri Address has a zip code, zip codes were not used until 1965 someone got stuck with a set of out od date engines.

Here's the link:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-ol...AAOSw8yJgHUT P One tube opened, the other sealed. From the 60s. One tube looks to be A.8-3, the other the old B3-5. These tubes are at least pre-1968 when motor designations were still in pound/seconds before the change to metric. Earl

Interesting, but I just can't justify $10/each for B3-5 (B14-5) engines I would USE.

Do you think they’re still viable—or just an oddity? I guess it would depend on how they were stored as a “barn find”.

Don't look at me, I have been trying to sell off my rocketry items. A good friend of mine came by and he is now the proud owner of the Red Mistry Tube. and he does think it is a early Estes Scout kit. he also talked me out of some of the collectable motors that I had. Then just when you think you are getting out, it pulls you back in ( just like the Mafia), I had asked my Daughter if she wanted some of the built Model Rockets I have left. She say's dad I have 2 plastic tubs full of rockets at my house that have been here for 5 years, ( the last time we went to a FSA Club Launch). GOOD GREEF!

K-1 Scout
From the same guy that sold the red tubes today.
Neal, this is more than likely what's in your tube. Don't know how I missed this auction. https://www.ebay.com/itm/ESTES-K-1-...=p2047675.l2557

I was reviewing the Centuri catalogs on Ninfinger's site, and the zip code didn't appear until the 1967 edition..... i wonder what the postal stamp says.?

No longer my Red Tube, was picked up on Wednesday by my friend that drove down to go to the Super Bowl. he had to have some excuse to drive from PA. and he is flush, so the Super Bowl was a good reason to come to Fl.
