1. No I will not open it until I know what it is.
2. It is too lite weight to be engines.
3. I have engines in this type (Red) Tube and even the A series engines are a lot heaver than this
tube.
4. I have items that were given to me in the 1970's and back then I did not know what some of
these engines were ever going to be collectable but I kept them any way. I have suspicion
that this tube came in a box from that time.
5. No Mojo it's not a pipe bomb.

That was the other thing I thought of. The rolled up engine instructions and nichrome wire igniters. But Neal said it's sealed so doubt that's it. I'm sticking with an original Astron Scout kit.

Neal, if anything rattles around inside when you give it a shake then it's not old igniters. They came in a long strand of three igniters and won't make a sound if you shake it. I'm betting it's a Scout kit. Didn't figure you'd go for the pipe bomb theory..........

Gotta OPEN it up. Glue the cap on after to restore to "unopened" status.
