Default Nose Cone Wood Turning

Turned the nose cone on the wood lathe. I used a piece of the trunk of a Pinyon Pine tree we cut down on our property about 7 years ago.

The worms had bored some holes in the piece, which gives some character to the finished part.

OK,

So I learned something to share; this forum does support multi-lingual characters:

I'm NOT picking on, flaming or otherwise disparaging HenryMac.

Pi?on is the spanish word for pine. Pi?on trees are found throughout the American Southwest. The wood is fabulous for campfires but I never thought to make nosecones out of it.

So apparently, the way you get an enye (the spanish n with the tilde on top) is to press Alt 164 for lowercase and Alt 165 for the uppercase. An umlaut u for your Launch Cr?e is Alt 0252.

I was today years old . . . .

Edit: so when you type it in it works and looks right but when it gets displayed it gets substituted with a question mark so . . . .

Oh, Well

Default Preliminary Swing Test

I did a preliminary swing test today in (4) different positions, Nose Cone Canted:
Inward
Outward
Upward
Downward
The canted nose cone does not appear to tilt the rocket off it's vertical c/l.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, TURMOIL, FIASCOS, and HAVOC !
