Estes V2 kit differences?
Can anybody tell me whether there are any substantial differences between kits #1904, #1926, and #3228?
Thank you

I believe that the earliest incarnation used a bit of BT-51 (S-IVB tube from the old semiscale Saturn V) to hold the engine hook in place, and used water transfer decals. A later version just a ring to retain the engine hook, and had self-adhesicve stickers for the German markings.
I could be wrong, though. |

Somewhere in there the details of the slot-mounted fins also changed. The #3228 had a point between the forward edge of the forward mounting tab and the leading edge of the fin. The earlier ones did not. There was also a subtle difference to the rear details of the fins--close to the engine mount cavity. I don't now if I would call them substantial differences or not.
