Carl, a cluster of (3) ST-9 tubes fit loosely in your LT-225 airframe.

Will (3) ST-9 tubes fit inside the smaller 2.175" dia. BTH-70?

I just tried a RockSim cluster with three ST-950's, and it seems to fit, if maybe snugly. RockSim didn't complain, or prevent me from using this configuration...

Hi Craig;

By the numbers, a cluster of 3 ST-9s would just fit inside an airframe with a minimum ID of 2.15"; a BT-70 would just about be a perfect fit.

Ours weighs a lot less than what the RocKSim file suggests and were getting approx 1000 - 1200 ft on D12's
We've had some request to offer this kit in a single 29MM engine, which we probably will do.

Thanks Craig, for your kind words and great job with the Cherokee Upscale. I thrive on trying to be different and original, however a guy can step over the line into the realm of freakish if here tries too hard . Besides if I have learned one thing its that each of us has our own likes and styles of designing. Bueaty, I guess is truly in the eyes if the beholder.

Here is a design I call the Silver Bullet. The main body of this little beast is a BMS V2 boattail with a Bt-20 hole drilled in it. I am using the tailcone in reverse so that must mean it becomes a bodycone Also using a paper transition that leads up to a BNC-20B conical shape. This design falls out of the VR class as it gets 1071 feet on a C6-5.

Well, you just knew this one would come along...

A sequel of a sequel, here's the next mutation of the Cherokee Double-D project using the BTH-70 components. Electronics are required for this model, but it is capable of some nice camera lofting using the BoosterVision package. The design is slightly altered from the earlier Cherokee 38 to allow for the booster to fit properly. Also, some modifications may be needed to adaquately fit a recovery system into the booster. Maybe just a large streamer???

I now have a prototype for the Antares (see my avatar, upper-left...) ready for priming. This is a larger model than I imagined, and should look right at home next to the SEMROC Taurus I picked up Friday. It's also a little heavier in the tail than I thought, and I may need to re-examine the RockSim specs to see if I missed something important.

After last week's loss of the original Stryker model, I had to whip up a set of wings for its replacement. The new Stryker is fully assembled and ready for primer.

After having the parts in a bag for at least three years, I finally put the fins to the tubes of my Centaur two-stage model. This design is from 2003, and is something of a derivative of the Estes Omega. Now, I just need to add launch lugs to it and to my Omega clone and start spraying primer.

My TZ-9 prototype (9" body length Tau Zero) is almost primer-ready. I'm adding those teardrop-shaped cannon fairings to the fin tips instead of the "production" treatments, just to see what the model will look like. FWIW, I think the "production" tips are a good compromise, as the amount of work I've had to do so far on the pods would discourage a lot of folks from finishing the model. Laser-cut parts would simplify the pods, but this is a scratch-job.

I have the parts to build the Andromeda now, and that should be my immediate-next project to start. This is also a larger-than-expected model, but I think it will look like it belongs next to the Antares, like a sibling; at least like a close cousin, anyway.

I'm starting to look for a digital camera, so that I can start shooting some pictures of these models. Several have popped up in the newspaper adverts Sunday, and I'm looking at a couple. A Sony with 6 MPix resolution is available through several places for about $150, and I'm not planning to spend over $200. If anyone has personal experience with some of these in this price range, shout out your opinions -- good, bad, or indifferent. The shots you folks have posted with your own cameras look so much better than anything I've used to this point.

Craig, a good place to shop for digital camera's is Newegg.com. Good prices and return policy too.

I have a specific HELP NEEDED request for you folks. My Rocksim database is lacking parts, especially Semroc nose cones and Fliskits etc.... I found the parts file at RMR to update the database that is a Microsoft Excel file . I tried the old copy and paste but it did not work. Please help a computer un-ed-u-ma-ca-ted person out here will ya .

Here a new design called Genesis Device from one of the Star Trek movies. I did the best I could from the photo's I had and just made the rest up . I am again using Craig's Tua Vega Top fins here because they add alot to this design.
