Question New Design: Double Duty

Here is my first attempt at messing with an 2 stage design. I have always to see the first
stage use a parachute rather than thumping to the ground so here is my idea. The 2nd stage has an extended motor mount that creates an hollow area between the ST-16 and the MM ST-7 tubes where one could tuck a chute in to be pulled out at seperation in theory. Just wonder if the chute will get too burnt?? Might work, might not.

Rocksimmers please give this file a good look over to see if this 2 stage assembly will work
or if I am in error. Also, can someone tell me what altitude the first stage seperates as I
can't seem to make much sence of the Data??

Enjoy and Thanks Again, JP
