Assembly is complete!
All of the components of the model are assembled, filled, sanded, and stacked. NO parts of the stack are glued together yet--I'll do that after painting, that way there's less masking. It requires no less than (8) color to finish this (not including primers white, red, fluorescent red, fluorescent yellow, silver, brown, cream (I'll use Wimbledon white for that, and olive drab. (the olive drab rectangles are on the decal sheet, but one of them didn't print, so I may end up recruiting "The Vixen" to paint them. IIRC, I actually have all of these paints (if I can find them.) I finally got to paint it.
Great. After ALL that work I've realized that I painted the incorrect Nike booster fin florescent yellow (stomp, whne, stomp.) Do I care? Yes. Am I going to fix it? Probably not--but if I do I'll fix it by moving the launch lugs instead of repainting the fins. Jeez! TBC

Well, as it turns out the paint on the yellow fin of the Nike booster is a little bit flawed, so I might end up repainting it--in which case I'll do the correction. I'll decide later this week.

"The Vixen" has successfully shamed me into repainting the Nike booster fins, so here goes.

The (2) fins of the Nike booster that are getting their colors swapped are taped and papered and ready for white primer. The Tomahawk sustainer is now fully assembled.
I'll keep ROTW open to page 162 until I get this right!

OK. The two fins that I'm swapping the colors of are now in white primer. I've checked ROTW (3) more times and indicated the top coat color for each fin. If I screw this up again I'm going to hang myself with my underwear.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not even joke about hanging yourself with your underwear! Always, always, always remember we care about each other here, and if things get so bad you feel like you have to resort to THAT, we'll all come together as one...and send you a nice, clean rope to do it with. Earl

Ive thought it over and I’m pretty sure that my Duluth Trading Co. Buck Naked Boxer Briefs aren’t strong enough to do the job.
Now, “The Vixen’s” granny panties...............

Yeah, nothing quite like the “show ‘em you really care” routine before laying out the true intentions. Earl
